Email validator
Check whether an email address is formatted correctly before you hit send.
About the email validator
The BapTools email validator checks the format of an email address instantly so you can catch typing mistakes before sending messages to customers or colleagues. Everything happens inside your browser.
Why does an invalid email address matter?
- Lost customers: a single typo can mean the message never arrives.
- Damaged email campaigns: high bounce rates hurt your sending reputation.
- Lower trust: addresses with unusual characters are more likely to be filtered as spam.
What does the tool check?
It detects a missing @, a missing domain, stray spaces, consecutive dots, illegal characters and malformed domains. It never sends a test email, so your inbox is untouched.
Real-world examples
Example 1 — a missing @
You type nguyen.vanaction.com. It is flagged immediately, instead of you only finding out after the campaign has gone out.
Example 2 — lookalike characters
info@maiI.vn looks fine but uses a lowercase L where the domain expects an i, so the mail never arrives. This is one of the most common causes.
Example 3 — consecutive dots
ten..min@congty.vn is invalid even though it has an @ and a domain. The tool points at the mistake so you can fix it fast.
Example 4 — valid addresses that look odd
ban.dich+newsletter@congty.vn is perfectly valid: a dot before the @ and a + tag are both standard syntax.
When to use it, and when not to
Worth using
- Before sending a bulk email campaign to customers.
- Inside a contact form, so you can show an error immediately instead of failing silently.
- Checking hand-typed data from a spreadsheet or CSV before an import.
- After typing by hand, since email typos are usually typing errors rather than logic errors.
Not worth it
- Confirming the mailbox exists. Correct syntax does not mean the account is real; that needs a test email.
- Filtering spam. Plenty of spam is syntactically valid, and plenty of valid mail is spam.
- Replacing verification on sign-up. Use a confirmation link to prove the user owns the mailbox.
How to validate an email
- Paste the email address into the input field.
- Press the Validate button.
- Read the result and fix the address if needed.
Frequently asked questions
Does this check whether the mailbox exists?
No. This tool validates format only. Confirming a real mailbox requires sending a message to it.
Which addresses are valid?
Common forms such as name@gmail.com, first.last@company.vn or name+tag@company.com are all valid.
Is my address safe?
Yes. The address you type is never uploaded or stored.
