About the discount calculator

The BapTools discount calculator shows exactly what you pay after a voucher or sale discount, and how much money you keep. Useful when shopping, during flash sales or when comparing competing offers.

Common discount levels at a glance

  • 10% off: the most common tier, usually for member pricing.
  • 20 - 30% off: typical for big sale events such as Black Friday.
  • 50% off: often applied to end-of-season or previous-generation products.
  • 70% off and above: check the quality carefully before buying.

What else should I check when shopping?

Beyond the percentage, compare the listed price with the final price, and check shipping fees, tax and the expiry date of the voucher.

Real-world examples

Example 1 — 30% off a 1,290,000 order

Final price 903,000, saving 387,000. Add another 50,000 voucher and you pay 853,000.

Example 2 — stacked loyalty discount

Loyalty members get a further 10%. The price after the main voucher is 903,000, and 10% off that is 812,700. Apply them in sequence, never multiplied together.

Example 3 — a shopping budget

You have 2 million and want to keep 300,000 in reserve, so 1.7 million to spend. A 15% discount still fits, meaning a sticker price of about 2,000,000.

Example 4 — a 70% flash sale

4,500,000 drops to 1,350,000. Deep discounts usually come with stock limits, so read the terms before committing.

When to use it, and when not to

Worth using

  • Applying a voucher or percentage discount at checkout.
  • Comparing the real total between two shops with different shipping fees.
  • Planning a shopping budget and working out the biggest discount you can accept.
  • Checking whether a discount is actually significant for your order size.

Not worth it

  • Deciding on the headline percentage alone, without looking at the total.
  • Ignoring shipping and tax: a 20% saving plus 50,000 delivery can still cost you more.
  • Stacking vouchers mechanically, since most programmes only honour the single best one.

How to calculate a discount

  1. Enter the original price.
  2. Enter the discount percentage, for example 20 for 20% off.
  3. Press Calculate.
